Get Your Tickets for the !Women Art Revolution Screening on June 2nd!
In the 60's 70's and 80's, the Feminist Art Movement fused free speech and politics and by their efforts, radically transformed the art and culture of our times. Lynn Hershman Leeson documents the pivotal events and interviews key figures including visionary artists, scholars and critics like Miranda July, The Guerrilla Girls, Yvonne Rainer, Judy Chicago, Marina Abramovic, Yoko Ono, Cindy Sherman, Barbara Kruger, Ingrid Sischy, and Carolee Schneemann.
West End Cinema will be screening the DC theatrical premiere of !Women Art Revolution as an exclusive preview to benefit WPA on Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 pm.
Tickets will be $20 which includes a drink and a small popcorn. There are only a small number of tickets available for this screening, so we recommend you buy tickets online in advance of the event.

Nominations for National Board
WCA is welcoming nominations for our next President Elect.
The President Elect will serve a 6-year term on the Board. The term begins with President Elect (2012-13), then President (2014-2015) and finally, Past President (2016-2017). WCA is looking for nominees with outstanding leadership qualities, prior administrative experience and either national or local board experience.
To be considered please forward the following information by the deadline of June 30 to nominations@nationalwca.org

3. Brief statement addressing: why you want to be the President; what skills you will bring to the table; your leadership style and your vision for WCA.
4. 1 or 2 letters of recommendation
All information should be forwarded in WORD .doc formats.
Nominees should make sure that they have read the qualifications/descriptions of the positions and are fully prepared to take on the leadership roles.

Members may nominate other members, but it is also possible to nominate oneself. Look to the talent in your own region for someone who is able and capable of taking the reins of the WCA. The nominee must be willing to invest the ample time, energy and resources necessary to fulfill the obligations of President-elect/ President/Past President.
The Nominations Committee will vet nominees. In the fall of 2011, the Committee will put forward 1 or 2 candidates to the WCA membership. Voting will take place in the winter of 2011. The elected candidate will take office on March 1, 2012.
